Studiofibre puts finishing touches to a new HQ for Farfetch in Los Angeles

Studiofibre puts finishing touches to a new HQ for Farfetch in Los Angeles, during Mental Health Month (May 2018), providing a new experiential space which focuses firmly on enhancing employee wellbeing,

Studiofibre, the global architectural interiors studio of designer-makers renowned for creating beautifully branded HQs and offices internationally, is a firm believer in putting human needs at the very heart of the design process and creating environments that support optimal cognitive performance and wellbeing in the workplace.

We work with visionary brands globally including The Net-A-Porter Group, The White Company, WME | IMG, Notonthehighstreet.com and Farfetch, the pioneering Fashion & Technology brand.

We are currently working with Farfetch on a number of international spaces  to create ‘future’ workplaces with an emphasis on ‘neuro interiors’ – design narratives which work to fully support Farfetch’s 2 key assets:  Its ‘Brains’ (employees) and its ‘Brand’.

We deliver beautifully branded and bespoke, crafted spaces that work on multiple levels, including:

-       Prioritising human needs and encourage mindfulness
-       Ensuring the emphasis is human, with textures and finishes that excite the senses
-       Providing diverse spaces for focus, relaxation, collaboration and communication – allowing the mind to change state
-       Ensuring movement around the space to keep brains active
-       Maximising human interaction
-       Counteracting stress
-       Providing elements for positive topics of conversation, bringing people together
-       Allowing for spontaneity
-       Encouraging employees to structure their day using the spaces their brain needs at the time.
-       Offsetting the potential negative effects of increasingly dominant technology

10 years of Studiofibre

Studiofibre celebrates ten years of creating bespoke, beautifully branded workplace and retail spaces for many of the world’s leading global brands...

1. MARY KATRANTZOU

November 2017: Studiofibre’s new retail division has created two creative and kaleidoscopic pop-up spaces for iconic fashion designer Mary Katrantzou: One within the Le Bon Marché, Paris (June 2017) and a second within the Designer Womenswear Department of Selfridges London for the Christmas season.

                                                                                    2.MADE.COM & HEALS

                                                                                      at THE MAILBOX

November 2017: Studiofibre’s retail team was commissioned by Milligan Retail to create a 20,000 square foot retail flagship to house Heals, MADE.COM and other leading homewards designers. We created a flexible ‘stage set’ grid, allowing each brand to hang its own scenery and be the protagonist of its allocated space.

 3. CHAOS

November 2017: Following the success of the original pop-up shops we created for cult luxury accessories brand Chaos in Selfridges and Dover Street Market, we have now completed a third project in the Selfridges Accessories Hall. This bijoux space reflects the sophisticated playfulness of the brand and provides space for customers to sit whilst discussing the personalisation service that is key to the brand.

                                                                      4. THE GARNERED

October 2017: Studiofibre designed a pop-up shop for The Garnered within the Landmark Hotel, Hong Kong. The design narrative reflected the brand’s ‘journey of discovery’ essence, allowing shoppers to discover and experience first-hand how some of the world’s finest artisan fashion, craft and design goods are crafted.

5. BRAINSMART

2017: Studiofibre started collaborating with Marcus Conyers of BrainSMART.org, a doctoral researcher specialising in educational, cognitive and brain science research. Together we advise brands on how to optimise their spaces in order to maximise their two key assets: Their brand and their brains(workforce).

6. FARFETCH

2018: Studiofibre is proud to have been the global design partner for Farfetch since 2015. Current projects include creating new regional head offices for pioneering luxury fashion brand Farfetch in LA and Tokyo. Other work includes adapting their London HQ (created by Studiofibre in 2016) to accommodate their exponential growth and the introduction of new ‘neighbourhood’ style working areas.

7. WME | IMG

2017: Studiofibre created a deconstructed ‘nexus tree’ as a focal point at the London HQ of WME |IMG, the global marketing powerhouse at the nexus of entertainment, sports and fashion. Oversized triangular shards of beech, finished in different shades, are carefully positioned to create a 3D effect and an illusion of movement.

8. THE 'SPEAKEASY' PHONE BOOTH

Jan 2018: Ian Livingston, Co-Founder of Studiofibre, has designed a modern Phone Booth which celebrates the use of plywood, (traditionally a back of house material) and provides a stylish and practical solution to lack of privacy in open-plan offices for important calls. Farfetch has placed an order for their global network of offices, and the Phone Booths are available to purchase by special order from Studiofibre.

9. LUXURY BRIEFING EDITORIAL

2017: Fiona Livingston, Co-Founder of Studiofibre, was profiled by Luxury Briefing Magazine, sharing her thoughts as a ‘Digital Thinker’ on the importance of the human experience within today’s work and retail environments.

                                                                         10. WALPOLE

2017: Having completed design projects with many of the Walpole member brands over the years, we were honoured to be invited to join Walpole’s prestigious alliance of Britain’s best luxury brands.
